The Wonderful Costa Blanca

Set in rural Spain, with easy access to the Airport, with superb views, with total peace, quiet and tranquillity but close to Alicante and Elche, 10 minutes by car!

For the more adventurous or those who want some 'nightlife' during their stay with us Benidorm is only 50 minutes by car or you can go on the scenic coastal tram and train from Alicante. If you prefer Torrevieja is only about 20 minutes away either by motorway or along the coastal towns.

You can visit typical Spanish bars and restaurants where a four course lunch with half a bottle of house wine will normally cost you
8 or 9 euros.

The Costa Blanca is one of the most mountainous areas in Europe with some impressive peaks right on the coast especially in the region where Villa Elisha and its apartments are located.

 The map of the Costa Blanca geography shows the Piug Campana for instance, a pyramid shaped mountain that overlooks Alfaz del Pi and rises  to a height of 1.410 metres. You can also see on the map Costa Blanca's   Sierra Bernia mountain range making an impressive barrier that separates the Marina Alta from the Marina Baja and Calpe from Altea. The map shows it rising to a height of 1.129 metres, and has been likened to the Black Rock of Skye.

A good way to explore these mountains if you are reasonably fit and have time free on Saturday is to buy a copy of the Costa Blanca News and look up the Costa Blanca Mountain Walkers. You drive to their meeting place and enjoy a guided walk with good company among some wonderful mountain scenery. You don't need a map Costa Blanca Mountain Walkers already know the way. If you're not feeling so fit, a good option is to drive to a mountain village like Tarbena and enjoy the view while having a lunch of traditional Valencia, Calpe, Alicante or Altean specialities.

 Without even getting into a car you can walk on level quiet country roads or across countryside.
 

Local to us, in Novelda, is a superb example of a church in the gothic style with a small tea room run by nuns who live on site.
